Jersey has a healthy pool of wedding bands, soloists and DJs, and because the island is small, the same musicians play hotel ballrooms, castle terraces and marquee fields — ask for references from a venue like yours. For ceremonies in heritage buildings, check whether amplification is permitted at all before you book an electric act.

Share the venue and the shape of the day, then ask about set lengths, breaks, equipment and who provides it, sound-limit considerations for residential areas like St Brelade, and the contingency if a performer falls ill — on an island, a mainland replacement cannot always arrive next morning.

Evening guests deserve more than a playlist; confirm the act covers the last-dance window and what happens in the gaps. Ceremonies at castle and chapel locations often suit acoustic instruments, while hotels and marquees can support full bands — match the act to the space.
