Choosing your caterers

Jersey caterers build menus around remarkable local raw material: Jersey Royal potatoes, island dairy — the cream and butter are famous for a reason — fresh seafood landed at St Helier, and small producers across the island. Ask caterers what is genuinely local and seasonal on your date rather than accepting a generic package.

Compare menus at the same guest count, and check whether quotes include staffing, crockery, glassware, kitchen equipment and clearing up — or whether those are hired separately. For marquee weddings at farms and vineyards, confirm what the site provides: power, water, kitchen tents and refrigeration in summer.

Confirm venue access times for setup, and build dietary requirements — coeliac, vegan, childhood allergies — into the first conversation, not the final invoice.
